Very Exciting

Check out the construction webcam by going to the Church website and looking under the "Information" tab for Construction Cam. The camera is refreshed every 10 minutes. Also, take a look at the project by looking out the windows in room 207. Lots of mud and bricks at this point but just wait - new parking spots await!

Ground Blessing May 11, 2008

If you were here it was joyous, if you were not here please ask about it. On Sunday May 11th Northminster celebrated the Ground Blessing in the sanctuary! It was raining and this was too important an event to postpone, so we went inside.

How can you have a Ground Blessing in the sanctuary? That was also a little confusing to a 5-year old who ask his teacher "How can you have dirt in the sanctuary, it is clean and there is carpeting?” . They were all assured that all would be fine that all those participating would be careful.

Bob Gudgel, the chairman of the committee, welcomed the Architect, Steve Robinson from URS, Al Wurster and Eric Teckenbrock from Wurster Construction. URS and Wurster are both excited about this new project and anxious to get started with the “bricks and mortar” portion. URS has been working for many hours to create the building Northminster wants, and we’re almost there.

Were you here on the 11th? Have you been a part of Northminster’s other important milestones? Please let us know.

Jim Mann
