| The article was great. One thought I share is that we should welcome others hoping they will welcome us as well into their hearts. As we open our hearts to them and share our worship experience, we should remember that their presence enhances that worship experience. We are not only giving but receiving. |

| It was a fine article which we can all learn from and which shows we all (me) are a litle inadequate. Thanks. |

Hospitality boundaries |

I liked the article, too. This past Sunday, at the beginning of coffee hour, a man, possibly taking a break on a walk with his dog, was on the patio. Both man and dog seemed at home visiting with us. It occurred to me that with the new bistro tables, we might be mistaken for a refreshment stand. How wonderful. Maybe we should inch the chairs and tables closer to the street.
As part of the new building campaign, someone has chalked in the boundaries of our new plan in semi-circles radiating out from the canopy entrance. Halfway onto the parking lot is a line labelled "Gathering Space" and I always sing "Shall we gather on the asphalt?" to myself as I cross it on the way into the building. Maybe there is a lesson there. |
